More and more people are becoming aware of the many benefits of counselling and therapy. Firstly, it gives you the opportunity to talk about the issue and yourself. This is a two-way conversation but the focus is on you.You will be encouraged to talk about whatever is important to you – your hopes, your fears, your aspirations, your wins and your difficulties.
The therapy can help you better understand yourself and the problem you identify with. Once you dissociate from the problem this can bring new meaning which in turn helps you develop new behaviours.
During the sessions you will be encouraged to discuss the issue. This will help clarify your thoughts and emotions and enable you to form some new conclusions. You can be assisted to enable you to come to terms with events from earlier in life and to overcome emotions which are rooted in past traumas or experiences.
One to one sessions can be conducted face to face, on the phone or via Skype.
