    If I’m doing hypnosis at home with CDs or MP3s, how exactly do I be honest with myself? What do you mean by this?

      Tony Thanks for your comment. anytime you decide to make a change. You need to be open and honest with yourself about where exactly you are right now in your life and where you want to be. Any change should be outcome driven. If for example it is to do with your self esteem then what is your ultimate goal and how would you be when your self esteem is at a level you are happy with? The only person that can measure this is you as you know how you feel right now and you know how you would like to feel instead.

    I don’t usually feel like I have a self esteem issue until it is boldly challenged by an event. I am of a personality type that many see as outgoing and confident but they do not see that when verbally attacked, the outer shell of me is only paper thin. I am tough in the way that I can deal with most insults but if an insult comes that hits home with an insecurity, it affects me for far longer than I would ever want it to. I’m happy to find this information as I am indeed ready to stop the cycle.

      Thanks for sharing Sarah and everyone’s self esteem or confidence gets rocked once in a while. Again its just part of life and the most important thing is how you deal with it and how it affects you. Self hypnosis can be very useful in this instance to reinforce that outer shell

    Self-esteem is one of the most important things nowadays if you want to have a successful life and career therefore the way you see yourself is the way everybody sees you . You need to be strong and though in these times . If you have problems with this I can think of 2 solutions : listen to the ones that really love you or go to a therapist .

    Hypnosis is one of the greatest things to man I believe. It’s just basically changing the mind to think a bit differently. I mean, I was able to get over so many things in my life because of hypnosis. Low self esteem was one of them. I was always down and out, not willing to push myself, but once I did hypnotherapy, things got so much easier.

    I have had a good amount of low self esteem during high school and college. I wish I learned of something like this before. I mean, I did hear of hypnosis, but I was a none-believer when I was younger. I never believed in it, but now I feel like it might be worth a shot. I mean, if works, I win, if not, I can move on and try another option. But hypnosis does sound very worthy of my time, especially since I went and found a lot of info on it working, so that’s a good start.

    I was an only child and very shy throughout my life and I hated confrontation and never stood up for myself. My son was being bullied at school and the school were turning a blind eye to it. I knew the only way to be taken seriously would be to cause a fuss but I was dreading it, however my son was miserable and I didn’t want to set him a bad example by letting him think it was acceptable to be ignored. A friend suggested hypnosis as she had seen a hypnotherapist for a flying phobia which was very successful. I decided to give it a go and after 2 sessions I felt much more confident and felt able to take on not only the school to ensure they addressed the issue but I also confronted the bullies parents and even got the boy to apologise to my son. He was so proud of me and his self esteem automatically increased. That was 2 years ago and I am now chair of my son’s schools PTA and don’t think twice about speaking up.

    Low self esteem is a big problem for my daughter. She just turned 14 and she’s interested in dating boys, and I am not ready for that, but she has extremely low confidence and self-esteem and often worries she’ll never find a boyfriend. Maybe I should have her try hypnosis to see if it can help her out.

    If I could build my self esteem with hypnosis, maybe it’s time I give it a try. I mean, if it actually works and can help me build up self-esteem to increase my overall confidence in life, I will gladly give it a try. I’m in an okay place in life, but it could be better.

    I’ll have to share this with my sister, who’s daughter has been slowly going into a deep depression because she has no self esteem whatsoever. I believe the best thing to do is to have a serious talk with her, but I will show her this in turn to help her out a bit. Hopefully it helps.

    I could totally benefit from using hypnosis for my self-esteem problems. I just want to know one thing, how long will it keep my self-esteem at a level I am happy with? Will I have to do many hypnosis sessions? I just want it to be one session and be done.

    I get family involved when my self esteem is at a low. I usually set a family gathering and it makes me feel so much happier. I never considered to use hypnosis for it to be honest, but I suppose I’m one day willing to try something new. Maybe this will be it.
